For an extra special stay in the Lake District

Our Luxury Four Poster en-suite room with shower/bath sleeps 2 people. It is an ideal room to relax in.

Light and spacious double aspect four poster room with a hand made king size bed that overlooks the River Rothay and our gardens; there is a comfortable sitting area to unwind and sit in after a good day out in the Fells with a bottle of wine! You may even catch a glimpse of Clint our resident heron or of our otters, Geraldine and Josephine. We do have a licence with a small selection of beer and wines. We stock the ones we are happy to drink ourselves! There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room should you prefer that instead.

A dressing gown and slippers are provided and there is a bluetooth speaker to connect to if you want to listen to some of your own music. You will also find a hair dryer and fan in the room.

Please note we have refurbished the bathroom and had to say goodbye to the 1980’s spa bath! For those of you who have booked via booking.com from Holland please note that their Dutch website still has the spa bath as a feature despite numerous requests to remove it.

Rossett Pike – Walk at the end of the Langdale Valley

Wansfell gives wonderful views of the whole of Windermere and its surrounding fells. It is around 5-6 miles and takes in around 1800 ft of ascent. The walk is a little steep in places and the actual summit of Wansfell is just short of 1600 ft.
